Tony is an experienced radio professional with a rich and varied experience in broadcasting and multimedia across a 40 year career at the ABC.
With a Bachelor of Arts in English and History, Tony gained extensive hands-on experience as a producer at 702 ABC Sydney, working on every key shift on the station including Andrew Olle’s morning current affairs program; with Jenny Brockie and Jennifer Byrne on Mornings and producing Drive with Mike Carlton.
Tony has also been a Content Director for Regional Radio in NSW, as well as Editor of Networked Local Radio where he led the program teams producing a national portfolio of shows including Nightlife; Overnights with Trevor Chappell and Rod Quinn; Australia All Over with Ian McNamara and the Indigenous program, Speaking Out.
More recently, Tony was Manager of Regional Local Radio at the ABC – a senior role that saw him overseeing the editorial and operational activities of Local Radio and ABC Rural nationally, leading a team of over 300 content makers across the country.
