Susan Bower is a passionate storyteller who works as a writer, script editor, development team member, script producer, show runner, producer, executive producer and drama consultant on many television drama productions. Her credits include A Country Practice, Home and Away, Mirror Mirror, Sweat, Blue Sky, All Saints, McLeods Daughters, Little Oberon, Sea Patrol, and Canal Road among many others. All of these programs have sold extensively overseas.
Susan worked with FremantleMedia Australia (FMA) as the Executive Producer of the serial drama Neighbours, driving the evolution of both production and storytelling. After stepping down from this role, Bower continued with FMA as Drama Consultant working with the South East Asian Development Team. In 2014 Bower worked as Head of the Writing Team of A Place To Call Home Series 3 during the transition from free to air to cable sensibilities. The series broke ratings records for Foxtel.
As Director of Bower Bird Productions, Susan Bower has developed several drama series, a sitcom and BBP also represents drama projects developed by other creatives. Currently working on two drama series. Stay tuned for more details.
