Dr Marty Murphy

Dr Marty Murphy is Bachelor of Arts Screen: Production Program Convenor at AFTRS with over ten years of teaching at the school. An alumnus of the school’s directing course, Marty has a background as a film and television director and has written for radio drama and theatre. He has had a long career performing live comedy and was a regular guest speaker for the AGNSW Art After Hours public talks program. He is a comedy narrative specialist with a PhD from the Writing and Society Research Centre at Western Sydney University. He also a non-executive director of the Veterans Film Festival.
