Explore the world of Screen Production

Learn about the production process and the key roles in the Australian screen industry. The On Set Onboarding course is a combination of classroom-based and experiential learning designed to equip you with the skills and confidence to work in a professional screen production industry environment.

This course features a simulated set activity with professional equipment and experienced crew, giving each participant an opportunity to cycle through several departments to understand their interdependence. Taught by leading industry professionals, you will experience the collaborative process of screen production.

Outline the production process how film and TV shows go from script to screen

Understand and describe key skills and processes expected of entrylevel crew members across the different roles of the production office, production set and unit base

Understand how employment works in the screen sector including how to design your resume, develop networks and advance your skills

"The best part about this three-day course was that all students could participate in a physical practice film set with the guidance and advice of industry professionals. We could all choose a department for the day and immerse ourselves in the roles of a crew team member. Also being able to network with the team who came in that day was so beneficial in many ways."
