Our postgraduate courses, including the Master of Arts Screen, offered in 9 disciplines, the Master of Arts Screen: Business, and the Graduate Diploma in Radio and Podcasting, are designed to hone your craft and promote creative collaboration in the screen and audio industries.

Our two-year, full-time Master of Arts Screen, offered in 9 disciplines—Cinematography, Directing, Documentary, Editing, Music, Producing, Production Design, Screenwriting, and Sound Design—focuses on ongoing practical collaborations and research work that enable students to apply creative thinking to real-world scenarios and develop life-long partnerships.

With a strong commitment to accessibility, AFTRS offers flexible study options for the Master of Arts Screen: Business and the Graduate Diploma in Radio and Podcasting.  

Designed for a new generation of screen leaders, the Master of Arts Screen: Business is Australia’s foremost screen business course. Jill Kingston, MASB Alum, said about the research subject delivered at the end of the course: 

“Every week, we did practice presentations with whatever we were at with our research and our thinking. It was a great collaborative environment where we all questioned each other and helped each other.”  

The Graduate Diploma in Radio and Podcasting provides hands-on, industry-focused training focusing on communication, storytelling, and audience engagement. Natalie Pozdeev, GDRP Program Convenor, said about the application process: 

“As you think through your idea, think about how you connect with the audience. Radio and podcasting are all about connecting with the audience, so that’s one of the things we are really looking for and listening for.”
