AFTRS is proud to announce the Atlas Shorts Screen Excellence Scholarship. The scholarship, valued at $10,000, will be awarded to one student commencing the Bachelor of Arts Screen: Production in 2022 to encourage creative excellence in screen storytelling.
Atlas Shorts is a fast-growing technology company that aggregates and delivers the world’s best short films and digital media to libraries and classrooms worldwide to assist students, educators and patrons achieve learning outcomes and reach their full creative potential. Founded in 2017, Atlas Shorts is on a mission to give greater access to independent content and visual media, prevent IP wastage and help pave a path towards sustainability, assisting filmmakers and visual artists to make a viable living.
The Atlas Shorts Screen Excellence Scholarship will be awarded to one student to assist with their living expenses while studying at AFTRS. Applications are now open and will close Monday, 25 October 2021.
The successful applicant will be chosen by a selection panel comprised of AFTRS staff and Atlas Shorts Founder and CEO Karim Ford Sarhan.

The Atlas Shorts Screen Excellence Scholarship seeks to nurture outstanding, emerging creative voices who might not otherwise have adequate support to persist with their dreams as aspiring visual storytellers.
