Radio Alumnae Leah Porges and Pariya Taherzadeh Land Roles at Mamamia

Leah Porges and Pariya Taherzadeh

2018 Graduate Diploma in Radio alumnae Leah Porges and Pariya Taherzadeh have landed roles as Podcast Producers at Mamamia.

Working at the online publication, they will create news podcasts and online video content for a female audience.

In the role, Leah currently oversees production of several podcasts including You Beauty & Mamamia Recaps. Leah has also been involved in producing the acclaimed Indigenous women’s podcast Tiddas 4 Tiddas, the well-received Book Club and Mamamia Out Loud. In her shot time in the role, Leah has already recorded several great podcast interviews with the likes of Angie Kent, Kate Peck and numerous other well-known Aussie women. On the new role, Leah says “Working at Mamamia means collaborating with creative & like-minded individuals who are dedicated to making the world a better place for women and girls.”

At Mamamia, Pariya has taken on the role of producer for the parenting podcast, This Glorious MessHaving been the 2018 recipient of the Selwyn Speight Diversity Scholarship (awarded by AFTRS and ABC), Pariya received a one year, paid full-time contract with ABC where she worked as a radio producer for Triple J on shows like Dr Karl, F Off Friday and The Friday Mix. In the role, she also worked to bring about awareness of ADHD and relationships by chatting on Triple J’s late night show, The Hook Up. Pariya recently produced the feature ‘Escape from Iran’ for ABC Radio National’s History Listen which you can catch up on here.
