BA Student Film Takes Home Two Awards at Shortie Film Fest in Brooklyn

The Art of Doodling, a short documentary directed/co-animated by Nicola Macindoe (Bachelor of Arts Screen: Production, 2018) has won two awards at Shortie Film Festival in Brooklyn.

The short took home the festival’s Audience Award and Honourable Mention Award after screening at the festival earlier this month.

Nicola made the film in her second year studying the BA with fellow students (now 2018 BA graduates) – writer/co-animator Rachel Mackey,  producer Kyle McDonell, cinematographer Joshua Lee, sound recordist/designer Kimberly Clarke and composer Rishi Montgomery. If writer/co-animator Rachel Mackey sounds familiar, it might be because her short The Granny Flat has been doing the festival rounds, screening at Revelation International Film Festival in Perth, Cinema Des Antipodes in Saint Tropez and is about to head to Nashville Film Festival.

The Art of Doodling also recently screened at the #DirectedbyWomen Worldwide Film Viewing Party as part of Shorts of All Sorts, NYC.

Check out the trailer and keep an eye out for more announcements.
