AFTRS alumni have picked up major prizes at the annual National Australian Cinematographers Society Awards.
The ACS Awards highlight some of the best local talent in cinematography, and we’re excited to see a few of our brilliant ex-students get recognition on the night.
Taking home Gold Tripods on the night were: Benjamin Powell (Advanced Diploma in Cine Essentials, 2016) in Experimental & Specialised for Falling in Reverse, Judd Overton (Master of Arts – Film and Television Cinematography, 2003) in Serial TV & Comedy Series for No Activity – The Raid, and Denson Baker (Graduate Diploma of Arts – Film & Television Cinematography, 2000) in Drama Series and Telefeatures for Victoria – series 2, episode 9, Comfort & Joy.
The Award of Distinction in the Commercials Local/Regional Category went out to Adam Howden (Graduate Diploma: Cinematography, 2009) for The Darkest Light.
