Loud Thoughts, the graduating Bachelor of Arts Screen: Production, 2017 short film from writer/director Benjamin Ryan and producer/first assistant director Mel White, will screen at the Academy-qualifying Flicker’s Rhode Island International Film Festival next month, selected out of over 6000 submission from more than 60 countries.
Synopsis; The last woman on earth has recreated her entire life with sound, but when she glimpses a dog outside her office she must break through her carefully constructed routine in the hope of establishing a connection with another living thing.
The film’s team includes first assistant director Giovanni De Santolo, cinematographer Emma Elias, production designer Steph Bosnic, camera assistants/gaffers Taylor Venter, Zac Hardaker, and Lucca Barone-Peters, sound recordist and designer Ari Friedgut, and editor Hugh Morris-Clarke (all BA Screen: Production, 2017 except Taylor Venter, BA Screen, Production 2019). The 22nd annual Flicker’s Rhode Island International Film Festival runs from August 7–12, 2018.
