Alumni receive story development funding

Vanessa Gazy directs 'Foal' (2014)

Screen Australia has announced its latest slate of story development funding for feature films, TV series, and online content, many of which include AFTRS alumni in key creative roles.

Among the projects, are Highway, the debut feature film by writer/director Vanessa Gazy (Master of Screen Arts, 2014), based on her short of the same name; Agaat, the latest from The Dressmaker director Jocelyn Moorhouse (Diploma in Directing, 1983); and the web series Ding Dong I’m Gay from writing team Joshua Longhurst (Advanced Diploma in Producing: Story, Audience, Finance, 2016) and Tim Spencer (Graduate Certificate in Screenwriting Fundamentals, 2014).

Over $800,000 in funds has been allocated in this last round of funding under the previous guidelines, which have recently been replaced by a platform-agnostic policy.
