Thanks to Google Maps, you can now experience the sacred songlines and hues of Uluru, from anywhere in the world. Embedded in the interactive map are audio stories from traditional owners the Anangu people about the cultural significance of the site, Tjukurpa – the traditional law – and their creation stories.
AFTRS student Giovanni Raniera De Santolo, currently undertaking his third year in BA Screen: Production, was invited by Google to travel to Uluru, experience the launch celebrations and document his journey. The short film he will subsequently create will released on the AFTRS YouTube channel.
