AFTRS Grading Schemes

The information provided in the table below displays current and past AFTRS grading schemes. Result grades are in accordance with the regulations existing in the year of unit enrolment.

To use this table, refer to the year in which your Academic Transcript was awarded against the relevant Grade Code.

P Pass Acceptable level of performance. 50-64% 50-64% 55-64% 50-64%
F Fail Unsatisfactory performance. 0-49% 0-49% 0%-54% 0-49%
AF Absent Fail Student has abandoned subject after the census date. Subject mark will be 0.
CG Credit Granted Recognition of Prior Learning.
CP Conceded Pass Pass granted upon re-consideration of borderline fail. Requires approval of Director, Teaching and Learning and supporting evidence. Subject mark will be 49.
E Exempt Exemption from unit granted due to prior completion of equivalent unit. AFTRS Credit Points granted.
GP Grade Pending Denotes that the subject/module has not yet been finalised.
NGF Non-Graded Fail Fail for a unit which was not awarded a specific grade.
NGP Non-Graded Pass Pass for a unit which was not awarded a specific grade.
Individual components of this module were not awarded a specific grade.
SP School Pass Original Fail grade converted to a pass – only allowed for 1 unit of up to 5 credit points during course of study.
W Withdrawn Student withdrew from subject/ module after the final date allowed for withdrawal.
WF Withdrawn Fail Student withdrew from unit after the final date allowed for withdrawal.
WZ Withdrawn No Penalty Withdrawn from a subject after census date under conditions permitted for withdrawal. Student does not incur academic consequences. Requires approval of Director, Teaching and Learning and supporting evidence.
