Anita Jacoby is a leading advocate for women in media and leadership. One of Australia’s most distinguished producers, she is behind some of our most credible and cutting-edge series – from The Gruen Transfer to Enough Rope, 60 Minutes to Hungry Beast … and many more. After a decade working in creative partnership with Andrew Denton, she was head hunted to lead the local operations of one of the world’s largest production companies, ITV.
Formerly an Associate Member of the Australian Communications and Media Authority and a Board member of Chief Executive Women, Anita currently chairs the ABC Advisory Council and Women in Media, a Board member of Public Interest Journalism Initiative (PIJI), Documentary Australia and the UK based Duke of Edinburgh International Award Foundation.
Anita’s work has received numerous industry awards including AFI’s, AACTA’s, a Logie, Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union and an Order of Australia Media Award.

Completing AFTRS’ Graduate Diploma in Media, where I undertook 16 industry short courses (then called Open Programs) including TV multicamera directing, video production, editing, TV journalism, doco scriptwriting, radio production, production managing, working with actors and directing as it relates to writers. Undertaking this Graduate Diploma was a gift for a young woman starting out in broadcasting, wanting to carve out a career in media.
