A student in one of the editing suites
AFTRS is home to the best screen and broadcast training facilities in the country. These include three professional film and television studios, state of the art digital video and audio suites, recording studios, post production suites and dedicated editing suites.
Editing resources and facilities available for student use include:
- Purpose-built on-line editing, off-line editing and grading facilities including Avid Adrenaline and also a linear suite with Sony BVE 9100 editor controller, a BTS Diamond Digital vision mixer, a Clarity character generator and a Prizm DVE effects unit.
- 13 Off-line editing rooms that house six Avid Adrenalines and seven systems that can run both Final Cut Pro or Avid Xpress Pro. 35mm flat bed film editors are also available.
- All the editing rooms are networked with central storage.
