From start to finish, producers are the driving force behind the film and television industry...

The Producing department at AFTRS currently offers the following postgraduate level courses specifically for producers:

GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN PRODUCING FUNDAMENTALS

ARE YOU A MOVER AND SHAKER? DO YOU WANT TO MAKE THINGS HAPPEN BEHIND THE SCENES?

Beginning with a focus on storytelling for the screen, and project development, you will be taken through all facets of production to create a portfolio of projects. From the practicalities of scheduling, budgeting and contracting through to an understanding of how to navigate the territory between creativity and commerce, the emphasis will be on attracting and reaching audiences and exploiting new opportunities in a rapidly changing media landscape.

This course overlaps with three other Graduate Certificates (Screenwriting, Directing and Documentary) giving you the chance to develop ongoing collaborative relationships.
